Day 1
Stop for a delightful lunch at the elegant Thayer Hotel, located right on the grounds of the military academy. West Point – This prestigious institution, nestled along the banks of the scenic Hudson River, has been shaping the nation’s leaders for over 200 years. As we tour these hallowed grounds, you’ll hear fascinating stories of famous figures like George Washington, Robert E. Lee, U.S. Grant, and Dwight Eisenhower, all of whom left their mark on West Point’s history. Day 2

Overlooking the Hudson River, the FDR Home and Library make a wonderful morning of exploration of our only 3-term president. It is also the only place in the United States where a President was born, maintained a lifelong connection, and lies buried. The Library and Museum are the first official Presidential Library and house an impressive collection reflecting the challenges and successes of a presidency that spanned the great depression and World War II.
Kingston is a vibrant city with a rich history and architecture and was the state’s first capital. The thriving arts community and largest collection of Dutch homes outside Holland make this a wonderful stop for lunch exploring the historic Stockade District.
The narrated Hudson River sightseeing cruise aboard the Rip Van Winkle offers an opportunity to relax as you take in clear views of historic lighthouses, grand waterfront mansions, and other notable landmarks along the river. With plenty of seating and gentle breezes, this is a perfect way to appreciate the Hudson River’s beauty while learning about its rich history.
Staatsburgh State Historic Site is home to an elegant Gilded Age mansion set along the banks of the Hudson River. Once the country estate of Ogden Mills and his wife Ruth Livingston Mills, this grand home offers a fascinating glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of America’s elite during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As we tour the beautifully preserved rooms, you’ll be transported back in time to an era of lavish parties, stunning architecture, and magnificent riverfront views. Known for its rich history and delightful atmosphere, Rhinebeck is home to the oldest tavern in the United States and was even the site of Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. This evening, you’ll have the freedom to explore and choose where you’d like to dine, with 15 fantastic restaurants all within a two-block radius!
Day 3
Soukup Farms is a family-owned farm known for its delicious maple products. Here, you’ll enjoy a maple tasting experience, where you can sample a variety of pure maple syrups and other treats made from the farm’s very own sugar maples. It’s a sweet way to get a taste of the local flavors and learn about the traditional process of maple syrup production. After the tasting, relax and take in the fresh country air with a scenic hayride around the farm. The gentle pace and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside make this a peaceful and fun experience, perfect for enjoying the simple pleasures of farm life.
McEnroe Organic Farm is one of the largest and most respected organic farms in the Hudson Valley. Day 4
Walkway over the Hudson is the longest pedestrian bridge in the world. Here, a stunning panoramic view of the Hudson River unfolds before your eyes. From this vantage point, you can see for miles in every direction. Don’t worry about walking too much—there are plenty of places to sit and take in the view! A knowledgeable Walkway specialist will point out all the notable sites and share the history of this incredible structure, making it an easy and enjoyable wat to begin your day.
Kykuit is a stunning hilltop estate that was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family. This magnificent estate overlooks the Hudson River and is renowned for its beauty, history, and exceptional art collection. As you tour the main rooms of the six-story stone mansion, you’ll be immersed in the grandeur of the Rockefeller legacy, from the elegant décor to the fascinating family history. The tour also includes the expansive, terraced gardens, which feature meticulously landscaped grounds and Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller’s extraordinary collection of 20th-century sculpture.
